Traffic Signs | New York / Tri-State

Traffic, parking, and regulatory signs for private sites

Arc lays out regulatory and directional signs from your site plan, prepares shop drawings when needed, and coordinates fabrication through licensed partners. Public-road authority signs stay with the project's traffic engineer.

FAQ

Traffic sign questions

Does Arc provide DOT-approved highway signs?

Signs on public streets are installed by the road owner (NYC DOT or NYSDOT). Arc makes signs for private property. On private roads open to public travel, such as shopping-center roads, the federal MUTCD applies (23 CFR 655.603; New York adds the NYS Supplement), so Arc lays out to the traffic engineer's MUTCD-based plan.

What reflective sheeting is used?

Sheeting type follows the project spec or the traffic engineer.

Who installs traffic signs?

Installation is through Arc's licensed partners or the GC's trade, depending on the contract.
